Dustin Rogers—Sr. Pastor/Elder
Upon graduation with his degree in Bible/Youth Ministries in 2002, Dustin was immediately hired as a youth pastor in Southeastern Virginia. He served for 7 years as the youth pastor in one church and was officially ordained as a minister of the Gospel while there. He continues to have a big heart for young people and thoroughly cherishes his time in ministry there.
In March of 2009 Dustin, his wife Catherine, and oldest son Dawson left VA to come to Lincoln, NE. A small but core group of people had been determined to plant a bible-based, gospel-centered church in the Northeast quadrant of Lincoln. God had made it clear that He was calling Pastor Dustin to lead in the efforts. Heritage Bible Church was officially launched on September 27th, 2009. He continues to serve as Sr. Pastor and is excited to see what God will do with this “in
credible group of people.”
Dustin and his wife Catherine have two boys: Dawson (4) and Dylan (2). He and Catherine enjoy date nights in the Downtown Haymarket area. Dustin doesn’t mind following Catherine around to all the various shops as long as he has a huge Ivanna Ice Cream Cone in his hand! As an avid sports fan, Dustin especially loves to play basketball and golf.
Jon Hess—Pastoral Intern
Jon served two summers as a ministry intern at Heritage (’09, ’10). He officially joined the Heritage staff in 2011 upon graduation from seminary as a Pastoral Intern and is leading Youth and Worship ministries.
Jon has brought both excitement and depth to our Worship and Youth Ministry. He tirelessly searches for songs that both musically and lyrically communicate gospel-centered truth. He is also passionate about helping people know and live out the Word of God. Although unafraid to have fun, his youth and college ministries are marked by faithfulness to the Word rather than entertainment. In a short time, he has already had lasting impact on lives. We look forward to what God has in store for Jon here at Heritage!
A Nebraska boy from birth, Jon is an avid and lifelong Husker fan. He is also a sport’s enthusiast who loves football, basketball, and soccer.
