Preaching and Teaching
We are very passionate about the preaching and teaching ministry here at Heritage. We believe that the Bible is alive and powerful and that it should be preached as such. Our Pastor is committed to the accurate, applicable, and passionate presentation of the Scriptures. He is devoted to helping us as a body to grow in our understanding and application of the Word of God. God’s Word is real and completely relevant to us in our lives! We are so fired up about seeing God transform our lives through the power of His Word.
Prayer
We willingly and enthusiastically say that absolutely nothing of lasting value can be done here at Heritage apart from gracious hand of God. We admit complete dependence upon God! Therefore, prayer is a natural outflow. As David Whitcomb writes, “Prayer is a declaration of our dependence upon God.” We believe in the importance of prayer. We have set aside special times in which we meet as a church to pray. We earnestly desire to see God do a work in lives and to save souls; and we believe that His power is unleashed through His people’s humble, scriptural, consistent, and fervent prayer.
Women’s Gathering
We have some amazing women in this church who truly understand the importance of bearing each others burdens. Our Women’s Gathering is a truly blessed time. The open, unguarded, loving, and friendly atmosphere allows our women to be honest about there own spiritual struggles and burdens. The Ladies will also discuss topics in light of Scripture that seek to inform and tackle challenges that are unique to women. The gathering would like to extend a warm welcome to any woman who would like to attend. The gathering takes place every Sunday at 5:00 PM at the church.
Youth Group
Youth Group: The HBC Youth Group is here and here to stay! We successfully launched the HBC Youth Group on July 1st. We are so excited about what God is going to do with our teenagers and the teens He enables us to reach! Jon Hess is interning as Youth Pastor this summer and has brought some real enthusiasm and vision to this ministry goal. HBC is passionate about prioritizing the preaching and teaching of the Word of God to the teens He blesses us with. We believe that teenagers want to know the truth and are in fact desperate for it. We are desirous to help teens see Gospel, embrace the Gospel, and in live in light of this glorious Gospel! Join us on Sunday Nights at 6:00 pm for some great fun, friendships, and fellowship with God and His Word.
Children’s Clubs
On Sunday Evenings our children are being ministered to by some wonderfully effective teachers. They are currently using the “Children Desiring God” curriculum in conjunction with some elements of “Kids 4 Truth”. Our children are being taught the wonderful attributes and doctrines of God in an exciting and informative way. We seek to make the instruction fun and interactive so that the kids will not only learn but enjoy the process of learning! The Loving teachers, solid material, fun atmosphere, and tasty treats all combine to make this club a success!
